Croyde Bay Holiday 07

This September, Link Leisure took its second trip to Croyde Bay holiday village, joining Woking Mencap on "Gateway Club Week" in Devon, with over 300 other Gateway Club members from around the country.

This year, 15 adults (5 more than last year) headed off to the seaside on the Link Leisure minibus, their luggage following in a van kindly lent to us by Colbornes VW garage, Woking.

We spent a full week wrapped up in activities, including bingo, 3 discos a day, tournaments, beach walks, swimming, and cabaret.

Highlights of the week include the ever-popular fancy dress night, where all those who took part received a medal, and the talent show, in which several Woking members qualifies for the evening show! Oh and not to forget the minky whale we found on the beach!

And the icing on the cake, Woking Together Team (Link Leisure and Woking Gateway) won both of the big events of the week- the Swimming Gala AND Sports Day!
